This series is compiled by the “Arbeitsgemeinschaft Archäologiethesaurus”. Each volume is dedicated to a different archaeological object group and provides a standardised, supra-regionally usable vocabulary of clearly defined terms for the entire German-speaking region. This thesaurus, with its numerous photos and drawings, not only serves as a system for the inventory of archaeological museum collections but is also used by many students, scientists of non-archaeological disciplines and laymen as a clear reference work with scientifically reliable information.
