The lecture at Lenbachhaus Munich by Carolin Overhoff Ferreira (Unifesp) compares the depictions of indigenous people in Brazilian art history with the challenge of the same in contemporary indigenous art in order to reflect on the necessity of decolonizing Western art history. Two artistic approaches are juxtaposed.
