Paulskirchenfest | 175th anniversary of the National Assembly
On May 18th, 1848, the delegates of the German National Assembly – the first freely elected representative body of the people – met in Frankfurt’s Paulskirche. The day became the birth of German democracy.
To mark the 175th anniversary, this year’s Paulskirche Festival will be accompanied by a special program dedicated to democracy.
