OSTRALE Biennale 2025

15th International Exhibition of Contemporary Art

In 2025, the OSTRALE will present international contemporary art for the 15th time – this year in the “ost-modern” pavilion of the robotron canteen and at other locations.

The exhibition is one of the largest exhibitions of contemporary art in Germany. This year, more than one hundred artists from 32 countries are exploring the role of colour in art and society under the conceptual approach NEVER GREY.

In the robotron pavilion, the central exhibition venue of the OSTRALE Biennale O25, the artist duo KOSCHIES will present motifs from the illustrated book KOSCHIES – SURFACES in large format. With their 360-degree portraits, the artist duo not only relativizes the predominance of the traditional interpretation of colour, but also the conventional dominance of central perspective. Not on the basis of digital manipulation, but through the creative influence of time in the portrait shots itself.
