In our twentieth episode, we are at the Kupferstichkabinett in Berlin. The exhibition The Cosmos of “Der Blaue Reiter”. From Kandinsky to Campendonk is on view until June 15, 2025. Kevin Schneider from Deutscher Kunstverlag talks to Dr. Andreas Schalhorn, the curator of the exhibition The Cosmos of ”Der Blaue Reiter“. In the podcast, he answers questions such as: Which artists are part of the exhibition? What are common motifs and subjects of the Blauer Reiter artists? What role did women play in the Blauer Reiter?

For the first time, the Kupferstichkabinett is therefore dedicating a comprehensive exhibition to the art of the Blauer Reiter and is presenting the museum’s holdings on the basis of 90 works under thematic aspects. Selected works on loan from Kunstbibliothek, Museum Europäischer Kulturen und der Neue Nationalgalerie of Staatliche Museen zu Berlin as well as from private collections in Berlin will also be on display.
